This is based on Hedge Mode of the platform. The current setting allows traders to hold long orders and short orders at the same time, so that the account is in a hedging position.
Another mode is One way Mode (Net), which means that the traders can only hold a single position of the same product at the same time. For example, when you have 5 lots of XAU long orders in your account, and you open 3 lots of XAU short orders, your 5 lots of XAU long orders will be automatically closed at the opening price of the short order, and the remaining 2 lots of long XAU positions.
The platform currently only supports Hedge Mode.
